This beautiful course is well worth the drive
I make the drive to The Preserve three or four times each summer, and it is always worth the short trip.
As a 10 handicap, this course is forgiving enough to make it enjoyable, yet plenty challenging. The fairways are healthy enough that you don't have to hit it right down the middle, but if you have a propensity to spray the ball, you'll get a chance to experience the long, native grasses.
The course is absolutely gorgeous, and it was in very good shape despite the drought last summer. I especially enjoy the fact that it's not a golf "development". When you're on the course, it's just you, your buddies, and the course.
For my money, The Preserve is a must-play course for any golfer in Iowa.
Based on my experience,
I would play this course again.
